Danicic's work on slicing began in the mid 1990s with work on its semantic foundations and algorithms.  This work was further developed by the EPSRC GUSTT project (Guided Slicing and Targeted Transformation, GR/M58719, 1999--2002). On completion, the GUSTT project was rated as `outstanding' (the top rating) by the EPSRC IGR review panel.  Danicic has a broad area of expertise and international standing in program slicing he has served on numerous program committees for example the IEEE International Working Conference on Source Code Analysis and Manipulation, and publishes regularly in top journals including Theoretical Computer Science (Elsevier).
