Ronald Duncan @UK PLC founder and Technical Director had the vision of achieving a product aware search engine by combining the Artificial Intelligence knowledge from the fraud detection project with the 30 years of purchasing data build up by Coding International in the National Supplies Vocabulary (NSV) system.

The result was a breakthrough Spend Analysis system SpendInsight.  The focus on spend analysis came from the initial testing of the algorithms on raw purchasing data from buying organisations.  @UK PLC already had significant experience in purchasing benchmarking having written the catering purchasing benchmark software for Quenelles.

SpendInsight is a key strategic fit to @UK PLC since one of the issues in deploying e-procurement/P2P/e-marketplace solutions is establishing the ROI and the likely savings.

SpendInsight makes it possible to quickly and cost effectively establish the potential savings for an organisation that will result from following procurement processes and eliminating maverick spend and freeing up procurement resources to be able to focus on establishing better prices for a large range of products and services.
