Introduction

Paul Roberts received a first class B. Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Reading in 2006. After this, he completed a three-year KTP project between the University of Reading and @UK plc, researching automatic product classification. During this time he played a key role in developing techniques for spend analysis, and in the production of Spend Insight.

He is currently completing a Ph. D. thesis on the research he carried out at @UK plc, after which he will return to research ways to push the boundaries of spend analysis yet further.
